Federal Paranormal Unit 2
If you run from love, you're asking for a chase...
James Brock lived the past ten years without the woman he loves. Using his job as head of the Federal Paranormal Unit to help others, he's done a good job of ignoring his lack of a personal life until she returns. His salvation. His first love.
Cynthia Vega had a very good reason to leave the only man she loved after she'd accepted his marriage proposal. Now she's back as his boss. And he's not willing to ignore their chemistry or the past.
Brock is determined to claim his mate and prove that their passion is even hotter than before. He wants her and her explanation behind their separation. Except, some secrets won't stay buried in the past. Brock will fight his demons to follow her lead, but Cynthia's reluctance to explain their lost love may be the one key to their destruction...
Okay, so I kept hearing about Milly Taiden and how awesomely hot her books were and I will say she did not disappoint but what I didn't hear was how awesome she was at writing a suspense/thriller. I seriously was not expecting the CSI nature in the book, but I LOVED IT!
Brock is a freaking sex god. Any man who can just make you feel like hands are roaming your body and pleasing you while just looking at you needs to come knocking on my door cause I would like to try that. Can he sell that door to door? It's intriguing to have a man be part wolf and part demon. I have never crossed such a paranormal character and now I want to find more!
Of course, even if he could sell door to door there is only one for him and he had let her go once and was not going to make that mistake again. Vega was his, his to love, his to mate, but she had left him in hopes for him to find happiness without her. But years later they are thrown back into each others lives and neither of them are prepared for the blatant attraction they have for one another.
The angst in this book is ridiculous and you are on edge not only for them to give in to their desire, but for Vega to find her missing cousin before it is too late.
I am so excited to venture more into this series and her other books!
